Thank you and goodbye

I came to Global Orphan Foundation in 2013 as we were just beginning to develop our dreams and plans and I've had the honor of seeing our programs and the organization flourish. As bittersweet as this moment is, I am leaving with more confidence than ever before in our mission and our work.

Every leader struggles with finding the right time to leave; there is always one more project or one more goal to accomplish. It has long been my intention to depart GOF after the village was constructed and had become home to the first children and that day has come. Being present to witness this important milestone for GOF and for the foster families in Congo is one of the happiest moments of my life. I know that this organization has never been in a better position to provide decades of support for orphaned children and I will be cheering from the sidelines.

When I came to GOF five plus years ago, I could not have imagined the incredible opportunities it would afford me and most importantly the dedicated, passionate, and caring individuals I would be so lucky to work with. I have always felt that the work I’ve done here would be one of my most important contributions to this world, and I know it has transformed me in ways I don’t even understand yet. Thank you so much for your support and for your shared commitment to our mission - without all of you this work would not be possible. There are no words to describe the remarkable honor it’s been to serve GOF.

With gratitude,

Nicole Brandt
